What We Do
Urbanbiz has a core social aim of regenerating disadvantaged and marginalised communities by helping them gain suitable employment. Urbanbiz has developed a successful engagement model of employment support with BAME (Black and Minority Ethnic) groups and has won and successfully delivered a range of skills, work, training and enterprise programmes across the region.
For the minority and ethnic groups. Urbanbiz is an approved City and Guilds Centre and OCR centre and offers training to individuals who are facing educational barriers to employment.
Urbanbiz has a focus on connecting with hard to engage and disadvantaged communities, fully recognising that for many people in the community, there are still many barriers that prevent them from having the same equality of opportunity as other people enjoy.
Recognised as an award winning regional business, Urbanbiz’s main remit is as a social recruitment firm to provide:
Urbanbiz’s mission is to create and provide unique services that will help such people realise their aspirations and live a better life.
Indeed our ability to engage with and deliver unique services to BAME communities has enabled us to develop our portfolio of services into offering enterprise solutions. UrbanBiz is one of the very few social recruitment firms in the country delivering targeted intensive one-to-one business and capacity building support to BAME communities.
We deliver Local Enterprise Growth Initiative programmes across Bradford, Leeds and Doncaster which means we have secured our position as a specialist BAME enterprise support provider. In addition, we are part of a regional consortium delivering capacity building and barrier removal support to disadvantaged communities across the region on behalf of Business Link.
